Preview twenty layouts for invoices and quotations, choose separate defaults and preserve existing documents.
Compare layouts in the Document studio#
Open Invoicing → Document studio. Search by name or layout and switch between fictional invoice and quotation previews. Open a full sample in a new tab to inspect identity fields, line items, currency, totals, notes and terms.
All twenty layouts are included. Workspace owners and administrators can set one default for new invoices and another for new quotations. Every layout displays the same underlying financial fields.
- Choose Invoice previews or Quotation previews.
- Open a fictional sample and inspect the layout.
- Click Use for new invoices or Use for new quotations.
- Create a draft of that type and review its PDF before issuing.
- Keep a copy of the issued document for your recordkeeping workflow.
A default change does not redraw issued documents#
Each new document stores its own versioned style. Changing the default does not restyle existing drafts or issued documents. Older documents keep their original legacy presentation. A quotation conversion and a credit note retain their source presentation.
A current unissued generic draft can change its style through its authorised draft controls. Source-owned invoices keep their source workflow permissions. Issued presentation is protected alongside historical facts.
A visual style is separate from statutory content#
Samples are fictional and cannot collect payment. Styling does not add a verified government response, cryptographic stamp, tax registration or invoice clearance. Country-specific content and any required statutory connector must be validated separately.
Arabic and other supported script content must be reviewed in the actual PDF. Long descriptions and multi-page line items should be checked before delivery.
Keep the active workspace, actual business requirements and current setup summary in view. A guide explains a choice; it does not make that choice for you.
