Register equipment, plan routine service, assign corrective work and review original service evidence.
Register each piece of equipment#
In a corporate workspace, an owner or administrator can add an equipment code, name and physical location. Use a consistent unique code so staff can distinguish similar machines. Correct or relocate equipment from the register. Existing work orders preserve the equipment label they were opened with.
Use this register for operational work. The accounting asset register, Inventory spare-part movements and repair invoices remain in their respective apps.
Plan calendar-based preventive service#
Select equipment, add instructions, enter the first local service date and choose the interval in whole days. For example, create a 30-day filter check starting 10 November. Select the plan and schedule the displayed date or an explicitly reviewed replacement date with a verified technician.
Only one active work order can exist per plan. After a manager closes work, the suggested next date adds the interval to the scheduled date in the current revision. A revised plan starts from its new first date. Existing orders retain their original instructions and revision. Dates are local calendar labels. Scheduling is manual.
Submit corrective requests and assign a technician#
Verified members can select equipment and describe a fault. Managers can see all requests and assign or reschedule a verified workspace technician. A requester can see their own request. A technician can see their assignments.
If a technician loses access or leaves, a manager can select a replacement on a scheduled order. Verify the exact date and use the assignment note to explain the change. Follow the local safety procedure immediately for hazards.
Record evidence and close or return the work#
The assigned technician records what was done, concerns that remain and an original reference such as a service sheet number. A different owner or administrator reviews the retained evidence and either closes the work or returns it for follow-up. Returned work accepts a new submission and keeps prior notes and evidence.
Use the recorded decision as an operational history. Any required safety verification, inspection or return-to-service authorization follows the applicable local procedure.
Recover from a change and retain history#
Reload a stale or interrupted form and check the record before trying the action again. A manager can cancel requested or scheduled work with a reason. To cancel submitted work, return it first so the review trail remains visible.
Close or cancel open work before retiring equipment or uninstalling the app. Retiring a plan stops future scheduling from it and keeps existing orders. The register and selectors show up to 250 active entries, and a work order displays its latest 100 history entries.
Keep the active workspace, actual business requirements and current setup summary in view. A guide explains a choice; it does not make that choice for you.
