Collect expressly shared Accounting period activity, review the group perimeter and record balanced report-only adjustments.
Choose reporting dates and entities#
As the current reporting workspace owner, install Group Financial Consolidation and configure double-entry Accounting. Create a report using dates within the books and up to 366 days long. The ledger sets the reporting currency. Request between two and twelve corporate workspaces with compatible books.
This report groups posted debit and credit movements inside the selected dates by Accounting account type. Balances brought forward from dates before the period are outside this activity report. Confirm the legal control and ownership perimeter under the applicable reporting framework before using group figures for formal reporting. The initial workflow supports one ledger currency per group and full inclusion of approved activity.
Review group adjustments and seal the report#
Review each approved source and the period totals. A group adjustment records equal debit and credit amounts against two different report account types. Enter a clear reference, such as the elimination review document for a verified intercompany item. Source snapshots and local Accounting journals stay intact.
Correct an unsealed adjustment with a separate opposite entry and explanation, then seal the reviewed report. For a changed reporting period, source data, perimeter or sealed adjustment, create a replacement report and obtain fresh source approvals. Ownership allocations, account-level mapping, currency translation under IAS 21 and statutory consolidated statements require separate reviewed work.
Withdraw a share or resolve an unavailable source#
A source owner can withdraw a request or share from the source desk. The group report hides source figures and derived totals when any requested source becomes unavailable. Previous snapshots remain sealed for retention within the system. The group owner can cancel a draft that is no longer needed.
For a currency or period error, compare the source Accounting settings with the reporting dates. If a source preview changed, reload it and verify the new figures. If a workspace or authority has changed, set up a replacement report with the current owners.
Keep the active workspace, actual business requirements and current setup summary in view. A guide explains a choice; it does not make that choice for you.
