Bring externally reviewed Australian pay figures into private draft payslips, a payroll journal and Accounting reconciliation.
Confirm the employing entity and accounts#
This workflow supports an Australian employing entity, eligible Australian employment records and an AUD double-entry ledger. Confirm the corporate business identity and configure Employees and Accounting. Choose distinct active accounts for wages expense, employer super expense, net wages payable, withholding payable, super payable and the bank account.
Open Payroll as the owner. If the workspace has no confirmed business identity, follow Confirm the company identity. Payroll shows the confirmed country when it is outside the supported scope. For an Australian company, use the Employees and Accounting setup links to complete the prerequisites.
Use an approved external process to calculate the applicable pay, PAYG withholding and employer super, check award and agreement obligations, issue compliant payslips, report through Single Touch Payroll and make payments. The figures entered here are reviewed inputs. This version does not calculate statutory amounts, report to an authority, or send a payment.
Prepare the exact pay run#
As the owner, enter the period, scheduled pay date, external review reference and the reviewed gross, withholding and employer super in AUD cents. For example, enter 150000 for AUD 1,500.00. Net pay is gross less the recorded withholding. Use this initial workflow for runs without additional deductions, reimbursements or other components.
Select a separate verified administrator as reviewer. Keep employee bank details, tax file numbers and official payroll documents in their approved systems. The draft payslip figures in Emnaro are private to the owner and the assigned reviewer.
Approve the exact figures and post the journal#
The assigned administrator reviews the external source and exact figures and approves the run. The owner posts the accrual after the period closes. The journal records wages and employer super as expenses and their corresponding payables. Amounts and source references remain tied to the reviewed run.
Revise the run while it is a draft. The reviewer can return approval to draft before posting. Cancel an unposted run if the source changes. For an error discovered after posting, follow a reviewed Accounting correction procedure and retain the original records. Posted runs are retained.
Record and reconcile the actual net payment#
After the external net-pay batch completes, record its actual date and private bank reference. Confirm the evidence before posting the net payment journal. The journal clears net wages payable against the selected bank account.
Reconcile the exact bank movement in Accounting, then choose that finalized statement in Payroll. Review PAYG and super payments separately. A recorded reference and an Accounting match do not submit STP or confirm any separate statutory remittance.
Keep the active workspace, actual business requirements and current setup summary in view. A guide explains a choice; it does not make that choice for you.
